  • The Anytown Information idea was conceived in 1998 by the founders and owners. Backed by an MBA in Business and a BBA in Marketing and by many hours of research into the needs of local business entities and communities alike, Anytown Information was born in January of 2001.
  • We first started by developing community based websites, combining relative links to the schools, libraries, city halls, etc. and any other information that was at hand.
  • In our research we found that many businesses wanted a web presence and were very excited at our offer to not only produce a low cost, high quality website for them, but that they would also become a sponsor for their particular communities website.
  • We found that within each community that there were many churches and civic organizations that did not have a website. Websites were offered to them for free due to the participation of the businesses in their community. This was met with a lot of skepticism, no one does anything for free, wrong we do.
  • We added local obituaries, which we felt was important information that should be a part of the community website.
  • We are in close contact with the city halls in an effort to obtain the minutes for any meetings conducted, in an effort to keep the communities informed on the decisions of their government.
  • Local events and festivals that are submitted to us are highlighted on the front page of the Anytown.info website.
  • In our research we found that many parents were not comfortable with their children searching the web for appropriate games sites. Parents we did the work for you and there is a kids link included on each community website. We are currently putting together links to websites that can help your child with homework and reports on various interests such as dinosaurs, science and space.
  • Anytown Information currently has over 180 clients and 18 communities all located in the thumb and mid-Michigan areas. We are the official website for Brown City, Armada Township and Imlay City Lions Club.

WHAT'S NEW

  • The Lapeer County Sheriffs Department are helping to keep you informed by sending us their press releases which will be highlighted on the front page of the Anytown.info website.

  • We are currently refurbishing each communities website, including more information such as history, U.S. census reports, school lunch menus, school sports schedules and local news. We will be adding forums where you can voice your opinion and others can respond, and free classified ads.

  • We are now offering to individual families the ability to become a sponsor to their community website. Using our Website Template program you can build and maintain your own family website, incorporating pictures and news about your family. Your family name will be added as a family sponsor in your community.

Anytown Information would like to take this time to thank all the
businesses and individuals who are instrumental everyday
in making this website a huge success.
We can not thank you enough for your input and support.
