
Jane Barry, age 63, home maker of Brown City, Maple Valley Township, died Sunday, August 25, 2002 at Mercy Hospital in Port Huron, Michigan. Mrs. Barry has lived in the Brown City area since 2988.
She was born November 4, 1938 in Meredosia, Illinois daughter to the late Arthur and Irene (McDonald) Flynn.
She married Stanley Barry February 24, 1968 in Madison Heights, Michigan. Jane was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Brown City. She and her husband were foster parents of twenty-three children in Clarkston, Michigan for 10 years.
Jane enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings and most of all she enjoyed her loving children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Stanley, three sons; Donald and Cheryl Barry of Marlette, Michigan, Roger and Diane Barry of Clifford, Michigan, William and Lauren Barry of Deckerville, Michigan, five daughters; Mary and Ron Smith of Jasper, Alabama, Shirley and Jim Schemanske of Brown City, Michigan, Florence Barry of Kinde, Michigan, Sherry and Jack Miklovich of Clifford, Michigan, Carissa Ann Barry of High Falls, Georgia, two sisters; Alma and Lee Archer of Carp Lake, Michigan, Shirley and Richard Hughes of Madison Heights, Michigan, seventeen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and twenty three foster children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clyde Flynn and sisters Edith Chapman and Laveta Ellerholz.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette, with Rev. Eric Kilmer of Our Savior Lutheran Church officiating.
Cremation will follow the service at the Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, Michigan. Memorials may be given to the Blue Water Oncology Department in Port Huron, Michigan.
Visitation will be held at the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette on Tuesday 2pm to 9pm.
