James E. Hayward, age 59 of Brown City, Michigan died December 13, 2002 in Lapeer. He was born August 28, 1943 in Marlette, Michigan to Kenneth and Shirley Hayward. He graduated from Marlette High School Class of 1963. He married Ruth Albertson on February 25, 1967 in Brown City.

He worked at Champion Motor Coach Corporation owned by Thor in Imlay City for over 20 years. He had also worked at Active Homes and Travco Corporation. He was a past president of the Brown City Lions Club, a little league coach, played blooper ball and horseshoes. He was a member of the Brown City United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Ruth Hayward, two daughters Tammy (Clint) Bower and Tina (Pat) Beemer, 5 grandchildren Stephanie, Nathan, Chad, Hannah and Bailey, 3 brothers and 4 sisters, Ron (Sharon) Hayward, Delbert (Jan) Hayward, Bob (Diane) Hayward, Sandra (Butch) Bennett, Brenda (Tom) Owens, Debbie Hayward and Pam Owens.

A visitation will be in Carman Funeral Home in Brown City Sunday, December 15, 2002 from 1:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2002 at the funeral home. Burial in Omard Cemetery.
