Bruce Junior North, age 80 of Brown City, Michigan died Wednesday, January 15, 2003 in Port Huron, Michigan. He was born August 23, 1922 in Burnside Township, Michigan to Bruce J. and Iva (Crake) North. He married Mary Robinet in 1942 in Brown City, Michigan.

He retired from Buick in 1980, after 30 years and still enjoyed his garden, orchard and workshop. Traveling and camping with his family were also favorite things for him to do, as well as playing a good game of euchre.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary North, 5 daughters: Janet Gould, Decker, Michigan, Sally (Larry) Webb, Brown City, Michigan, Ruth (Arden) Lobstein, Chihuahua, Mexico, Karen (John) Trowbridge, Brown City, Michigan and Cathy (David) Klimek, Clinton Township, Michigan. Six grandchildren: Rob, Troy, Tammy, Julie, Christie and Scott. Twelve great-grandchildren and two brothers: L.J. and Floyd North.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald and Marvin North.

Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2003 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 18, 2003 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 19, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City, Michigan. Pall bearers will be Marvin North Jr., Bernard Ruhlman, Dan Ruhlman, Mike Ruhlman, Neil Williams and William Matthew Winslow. Burial will be in Burnside Township Cemetery.
