Anita J. Ross, age 67 of Melvin died Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at Autumnwood in Deckerville, Michigan. She was born January 15, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas to Earl and Alva Gertrude Stone. She graduated from Brown City High School, Class of 1955. She married William Irvin Ross on March 9, 1968 in Capac.

A custodian, she worked many years at Brown City Community School and Sanilac County Court House and later at Champion Bus and Coach.

She is survived by her sister Janice (Robert) Litogot of Howell, Michigan, brother-in-law Roger Zoodsma, several nieces and nephews, 2 aunts Ida (Floyd) Clark and Nora Elston and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband William and a sister Francis Zoodsma.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2003 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City, Michigan. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
