Alan Joseph Schmidt, 42, a former longtime resident of Macomb County, Michigan, a local hauling truck driver, died suddenly at Marlette Community Hospital in Marlette, Michigan, on the afternoon of Sunday, July 27, 2003. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, 2003, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan. Further visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, noon to 9 p.m., at the funeral home. Further visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 1, 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, 16339 Fourteen Mile Road, Fraser. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, 11 a.m., at the church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
