Homer Ronald Tobin, 83 a lifelong area resident and farmer of Maple Valley Township, Sanilac County, died Wednesday June 19, 2002 at Sanilac County Medical Care Facility, Sandusky.

He was born April 7, 1919 in Brown City the son of the late Ronald and Ada Royle Tobin.

Homer served his country with the United States Army during W.W.II. from 1941-1945 and was commended with 3 Bronze Star Medals in the Southern Philippines. He was a member of the V.F.W. Brown City Post #2943 and of the Michigan Farm Bureau.

Surviving are a sister Genevieve Harris of Yale and nephews and their spouses Ronald and Berry Harris of Macomb and Donald and Gwendy Harris of Kimball and several great nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Homer's family has chosen to honor his memories and invite friends and family to share Thursday June 20th from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale and attend funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Friday. Elder John Murray, pastor of Community of Christ (R.L.D.S.) Church, Valley Center, will officiate. Burial will be at Valley Center Cemetery, Brown City. Visiting hours are Thursday 3:00 to 8:00 P.M.
