Ervin J. Turner, age 81 of Clifford died November 10, 2002 in Marlette. He enlisted in the United State Navy and served during WWII in the Asiatic Theater. He married Bessie Satra on September 10, 1948 in Ohio.

A farmer he also worked as an electrician/maintenance for Guerdon Industries and later Active Homes. He liked to hunt and fish.

Ervin is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bessie Turner, 2 children; Ron (Pam) Turner, Peck, Karen (Randy) Diegel, Clifford, 4 grandchildren; Tracy (Jon) Powell, Corey (Mario) Alfaro, Mike (Tori) Diegel and Nathan Diegel, 2 great-grandchildren; Kalia and Jacob and a brother Alvin (Dorothy) Turner of Brown City and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a sister Marie Weaver and 2 brothers Alan and Ivan Turner.

A visitation will be in Carman Funeral Home in Brown City on Monday, November 11, 2002 from 3:00-9:00p.m. and Tuesday, November 12, 2002 from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2002  at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Art Wright of Lamotte Missionary Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
