Bertha (Mahaffy) Vislosky, 84 of Peck and formerly from the Omard area near Brown City died August 23, 2002 at home. She was born October 27, 1917, in Ecorse, Michigan to Joseph and Frances (Koneska) Kusnirczak. She married Leonard Mahaffy (deceased 1986) on February 18, 1935 in Lapeer. She married Mike Vislosky on April 24, 1986 in Peck.

She was a mother, a farmers wife and loving grandmother. Bertha attended St. John Catholic Church, in Peck and was at one time involved with the senior citizens group.

She is survived by her two children; Raymond (Betty Mahaffy, Gaylord, Michigan, Rosalee Perdue (Gerald) Columbiaville, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a sister Verna Boots, Lapeer.

She was preceded in death by a son LaVerne and husband Mike Vislosky and two brothers Joseph and Stanley Swantak.

A visitation will be in Carman Funeral Home in Peck Saturday from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with a grave service at Attica Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the St. John Catholic Church or United Hospice in Marlette.
