Leelan Bissett, age 71 of Imlay City, Michigan passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at his home.
Leelan was a son of Albert and Maud (Patterson) Bissett born May 31, 1933 in Ubly, Michigan.
He graduated with the class of 1952 at Imlay City High School.
Leelan married Mary Lou Campbell on August 2, 1953 in Las Crusas, New Mexico.
Leelan was in the Army during the Korean war from April 1953 through March 1955.
He had worked for Ford Sterling Heights Axle Plant as a machine operator, then retiring in 1991 from Ford Proving Grounds in Romeo as a supervisor/driver.

Leelan is survived by his wife: Mary Lou Bissett of Imlay City, Michigan, 1 daughter: Melissa (Doug Scott) Bissett of Attica, Michigan, 1 son: Michael Lee (Vickie) Bissett of Imlay City, Michigan, 1 granddaughter: Jennifer (Alexander) Scheff of Lapeer, Michigan, brothers and sisters: Virden Bissett of Milan, Michigan, Dale Bissett of Brown City, Michigan, Cledan Bissett of Brown City, Michigan, Bobby Bissett of Imlay City, Michigan, Pearl Krivoshein of Southgate, Michigan, Valdora Tabor of Westland, Michigan, Lenora Gilstorf of Romulus, Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leelan is preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Edwin Bissett, Lula Nichols, J.D. Bissett, Eveline Clarkson and an infant brothers.

A memorial service will take place a noon Saturday, September 11, 2004 at First congregational United Church of Christ, Imlay City, Michigan. Reverend Douglas Asomoa will officiate.

Friends may call at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 Main Street, Imlay City, Michigan where the family will be availabe for visiting from 2-5 and 7-9 pm Friday September 10, 2004.
