
Velma "Tootie" Bush, age 77, of Imlay
City, Michigan previously of Pontiac, Waterford, Michigan area passed away
Monday October 18, 2004 at her home.
Tootie was the daughter of Homer and Nora (Prutow) Owen born April 15, 1927 in
Lapeer County.
Tootie graduated with the Imlay City High School class of 1945.
She married Thomas F. Bush (he died June 1, 1980) in Pontiac, Michigan in 1947.
Tootie had worked for the Pontiac City Library for 25 years before retiring in
1970.
Tootie is survived by her 3 step daughters Darlene Marks of St. Joseph, Michigan, Mary (Donald) Schoffstall of Atlanta, Michigan and Anita (Eugene) Flury of Crossville, Tennessee, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Keith Owen of Imlay City, Michigan and Donald (Sharon) Owen of Sandusky, Michigan, 4 sisters: Wilma Wilson of Tawas, Michigan, Shirley Owen of Imlay City, Michigan, Donna Lipka of Imlay City, Michigan, and Betty Halligan of New Lothrop, Michigan.
Tottie is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Nora Owen, husband Thomas Bush, sister Dorothy Hutchinson.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City, Michigan. The Reverend Daniel Lashley, Trinity Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at the Waterford Township Cemetery.
Friends may call Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main, Imlay City, Michigan, where the family will be available for visiting from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2004.
