Maria Chavarria, age 86, of Imlay City, Michigan previously of San Antonia, Texas passed away Wednesday September 22, 2004 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center.
Maria was born February 18, 1918 in Durango, Mexico
Maria married David Chavarria in Mexico.
Maria had been in Imlay City for seven years.

Maria is survived by 3 daughters: Maria R. Guajardo of Imlay City, Michigan, Elizabeth (Domingo) Valdez of Mexico and Griselda (Jose Louis) Dimus of San Antonio, Texas, 4 sons: David (Stella) Chavarria of Flint, Michigan, Gonzalo (Eulaia) Guajardo of Florida, Juan (Silvia) Guajardo of Eagle Pass Texas, and Fernando (Maria) Guajardo of Dearborn, Michigan, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 3 sisters: Maria Louisa Valdez of San Antonia, Texas, Josefina Morales of Eagle Pass Texas, and Maria Luz Benero of Mexico.

Funeral services will take place 11:00 am Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Wayne Ureel, St. Cornelius Church, Dryden, Michigan will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 Main Street, Imlay City, where the family will be available for visiting 3-5 and 7-9 Friday, September 24, 2004. There will be an 8:00 pm Rosary.
