
Raymon Gerald Dockham, age 61, of Imlay
City, Michigan passes away Monday October 18, 2004 at Henry Ford Hospital.
Ray was the son of Gerald Raymon and Eathel Belva (Gaylor) Dockham, born January
25, 1943 in Imlay City, Michigan. Ray grew up in Dryden, Michigan and graduated
with the class of 1961 from Dryden High School.
He married Lois Marie Walker on Mary 18, 1961 in Dryden, Michigan. He earned his
Bachelors Degree from MCCC and was employed by Ford Motor Company, Sterling
Heights, Michigan as a Tool Maker for 31 years, retiring in 1997. He was a
member of U.A.W. Local 2280.
Ray has had a life long involvement and association with the Tall Pine council
Boy Scouts of America as a scout and leader. He was also very active in
community service. He served on the Imlay City School Board from 1976-1986. He
was an outdoorsman, sportsman and gardener. he also enjoyed working with
children. He was a Little League Baseball Coach with Imlay City Boy's Baseball
and a Junior League Golf Coach at Lum International.
Ray is survived by his wife: Lois Dockham of Imlay City, Michigan, 2 daughters: Teresa (Richard) Upleger of Imlay City, Michigan, and Kristie Dockham of East Lansing, Michigan. One son: John (Julie) Dockham of Imlay City, Michigan. 5 grandchildren: Trevor Dockham, Chase Dockham, Richard Upleger, Elizabeth Upleger and Jessica Upleger. One brother: Michael (Alice) Dockham of Crossville, Tennessee. One sister: Marjorie (William) Avery of Gladwin, Michigan. His Mother-in-law: Julia Walder of Imlay City, Michigan, an uncle: Robert Dockham of Titusville, Florida, a brother-in-law: Victor Walker of Arizona and a sister-in-law: Virginia Kalbfleisch of Lapeer, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Imlay City, Michigan. Pastor Alan Casillas and Pastor Donald Krohn will officiate. Interment will follow at Goodland Township Cemetery.
The family will be available at the funeral home where the hours for visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 pm Wednesday, October 20, 2004.
