Isaac Stuart Porritt, age 102, of Imlay City, Michigan, previously of Almont, Michigan passed away Tuesday September 7, 2004 at Lapeer Regional Hospital.
Stuart was born July 7, 1902 in Orion, Michigan, to Isaac and Annie (Downing) Porritt.
He spent most of his life in the Almont Area where he had been a member of the Almont First Congregational Church. He had just recently moved to Imlay City.
Stuart married Florence Lubahn on June 25, 1945 in Oakland County.
Stuart had been a farmer and worked for Hurd Lock in Almont for many years.

Stuart is survived by his wife: Florence Porritt of Imlay City, Michigan, 1 grandchild: Barbara (David) Cole of Almont, 3 great-grandchildren: Teresa Smith, Amy Jackson and Angel Cole, 6 great-great grandchildren: Nicholas Smith, Sara Smith, Austin Smith, Joseph Jackson, Lane Jackson and Cody Cole.

Stuart is preceded in death by his first wife Bernice, 2 daughters: Betty Spens, Barbara Lou Porritt, granddaughter: Judy Rayl and by several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City, Michigan. The Reverend Larry Reich, First Congregational Church of Almont will officiate. Burial will follow at Imlay Township Cemetery.

Friends may call at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 Main Street, Imlay City, Michigan, where family will be available for visiting from 6-9 Wednesday, September 8, 2004 and 10 -11 am Thursday, September 9, 2004.
