
Aletha Marie Oberle, age 93 of Clifford, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Marlette Extended Care Facility in Marlette, Michigan.
She was born September 20, 1909 in Burlington Township, North Branch, Michigan the daughter of the late Charles and Cecelia (Hodgekinson) Topham.
Aletha married Donus Oberle on September 19, 1935 in North Branch, he died on November 20, 1987.
She was a lifetime area resident. She taught school for several years, was a telephone operator and worked for 32 years at the Polewach Store in Marlette, Michigan. Aletha was a Farm Bureau Member and a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clifford.
She is survived by: Joan and Ernest Williamson (Daughter) of Florida, Robert and Joann Oberle (Son) of Tustin, Michigan, Charles and Jacqueline Oberle (Son) of Clifford, Michigan, Joyce and Tom Johnson (Daughter) of Detroit, Michigan, Roderick Topham (Brother) of Clarkston, Michigan, 7 Grandchildren, Kelly and Jim Levinson, Kim and Tom Flesner, Jessica Johnson, Tommie Johnson, Keith Oberle, Aaron and Jill Oberle, Aric Oberle. 2 Step Grandchildren, Charles Bila and Robin and Dan Mixter, and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin, brothers, Vernon and Oliver John and a sister, Ellen Reppuhn.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Clifford, Michigan, with Rev. Fr. Richard Treml officiating with burial in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Clifford.
Casket bearers -Aaron Oberle, Aric Oberle, Keith Oberle, Tommie Johnson, Chuck Bila and Bill Maasch.
