Gerald Edward Pelton, age 57 of Brown City lost his fight with Brain Cancer January 21, 2003 in Marlette.

He was born February 13, 1945 in St. John's Michigan son to Carl and Naomi (Palmer) Pelton.

He graduated from Haslette High School and attended Lansing Community College for 2 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Altair in Florence Italy from 1966 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. He married Lynnae Hudson May 27, 1988 in Los Vegas, Nevada. He worked as a Consultant for Ajalon Computer of Southfield, Michigan for 13 years and also was on contract with Daimler Chrysler in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

He was a member of the Fellowship Church in Waterford. He was secretary of the Flynn Township Board and chairman of board of review. Gerry loved fishing, hunting and most of all, his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynnae, Son Todd of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Step son Bob Pollack (Wendy) of White Lake, 5 grandchildren, Taryn, Troy and Austin Pollack, Ameber and Haley Pelton. Son of Carl and Naomi Pelton of Haslette, Brother of Kay (Bob) Lerch of Haslette, Brother-in-law of Barb Pelton of Mason and brother-in-law Rich (Barb) Lilleyman of White Lake. Survived by many nieces and nephew and his good friend, Dan Kimmel of Brown City and his cat spoony.

He is preceded in death by his brother James.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2003 at the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette at 10:30 A.M., with Eric Foster officiating.  Internment will be in the Marlette Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, 2003 from 2pm to 7 pm and Friday 9am until the time of service at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Gerry's memory to the Marlette United Hospice Service.
