Harry Prowse, age 91, of Marlette, Michigan, died Saturday, December 14, 2002 at his home in Marlette.

He was born June 24, 1911 in Hemans, Michigan the son of the late Walter and Iva (Fulcher) Prowse. He was a lifelong area resident and 1929 graduate of Marlette High School. Harry married Grace Wilson on March 4, 1933 in Marlette, she died on May 28, 2002. They had celebrated 66 years of marriage.

He was a lifetime dairy farmer, retiring in 1977, a lifetime member of the Marlette First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Sanilac Saddle Association, Michigan Milk Producers, Michigan Farm Bureau, American Red Danish Cattle Association and past board member of the Marlette Farmers Co-Op Elevator.

He is survived by Paul and Mary Lou Prowse (Son) of Marlette, Dorothy and Jack Kelly (Daughter) of Marlette, 5 Grandchildren, Vic Prowse, Kristie Plazinich, Valeree Bechoner, Kirk Kelly, Venae Hobson and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Lloyd and a sister Greeta Ross.

Visitation will be at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette on Monday, December 16, 2002 from 3-5 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette. Rev. Daniel Bowman and Rev. John R. Allan will be officiating.

Burial will be in the Marlette Cemetery in Marlette.
