Genevieve Ramsey, age 97, of Flynn Township, Brown City, died on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Touch of Gold in Sandusky, Michigan.

She was born July 20, 1906 in Marlette, Michigan the daughter of the late Albert and Allie (Hayward) Ramsey. She was a lifelong area resident. Genevieve was a 1924 graduate of Brown City High School, and a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. She was an area teacher for 42 years. She was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church, the National Retired Teachers association, and the Retired School Personnel.

She is survived by: Eugene and Jeanne Colby (Nephew) of Sandusky, Michigan, James and Scharron Ramsey (Nephew) of Marlette, Michigan, Great nieces and nephews - Bret Ramsey, Valerie Sondey, Bonnie Colby, Lane Colby, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Lloyd and sisters Bernice and Mary and nephew William Ramsey.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette, Michigan. Rev. Richard Black will officiate. Burial will be in the Marlette Cemetery in Marlette, Michigan.

Visitation will be held at the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette, Michigan on Monday, August 4, 2003 from 1pm to 9pm.
