Lucille Baker, age 94, of Quinnesec (formerly of North Branch) died Sunday, August 25, 2002 at her daughter, Nancy's home. She was born June 1, 1908 in Sterling, Illinois to Charles and Sarah (Penticoff) Morris.

Lucille and Adam celebrated over 67 years of marriage before his death in 1995. She was a busy homemaker raising her 4 children and she was the owner and manager of the North Branch Hotel restaurant for 9 years. When M-90 was being paved from M-24 to M-53 the crew would line up at her door for her well known good cooking. She loved to play cards, crochet and work in her flower gardens. Lucille was a member of the North Branch Mom's Club.

She is survived by sons; Tom Baker and Roy (wife, Debbie) Baker both of North Branch, daughters; Barbara (husband, Dale) Summersett of North Branch and Nancy (husband, Earl) Runnels of Quinnesec, Michigan, grandchildren; Randy, Ronnie, Rashawn, Katrina, Kimberly, Cami, Kara, Adam, Nichole, and Melissa, great-grandchildren; Spencer, Dean, Stephanie, Michelle, India Brooklyn, Courtney, Cade, Johnathon, and Jacqueline, several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present for visitation on Tuesday, August 27,2002 from 3 to 8, and Wednesday, August 28, 2002 from 10 to 11. The funeral will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Ferrigan officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, North Branch.
