Eleanor M. Brockriede, age 90, of Columbiaville, died Friday, July 19, 2002 at Genesy's Health Park. She was born on August 1, 1911, the daughter of Joseph and Teresa (DePratti) DeMartin.

Eleanor graduated from the Flint School District. She taught school in Columbiaville and retired from Beecher School District in 1971. On June 20, 1938 she married Charles Brockriede in Flint. Eleanor was a member of the Lapeer Seventh Day Adventist Church and she enjoyed fishing, gardening and sewing.

She is survived by sons; Dr. Roland (wife, Karen) Brockriede and Dr. Donald (wife, Kathy) Brockriede both of Columbiaville, brother, Dr. Roland (wife, Louise) DeMartin of Mason, Michigan, 5 grandchildren; Mitchell, Alice, Teresa, Charles and Thomas Brockriede, 2 great-grandchildren; Nicholas and James, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Charles.

Memorials may be made to the Lapeer Seventh Day Adventist Church of the American Cancer Society.

Family will be present at the funeral home for visitation on Sunday, July 21, 2002 from 2 to 7 and on Monday, July 22, 2002 from 11 to 1 with a 1:00 service at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Elder Earl Zager will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
