Robert William Svoboda, age 55 of Clifford died June 23, 2002 at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He was born on March 22, 1947 in Lapeer, the son of Raffaela and Jerry Svoboda.

Bob graduated from North Branch High School in 1965 and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a farmer and a carpenter and enjoyed drag racing, woodworking and he was an avid sports enthusiast.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Faye and Wayne Rappuhn of Clifford, daughter, Tammy Svoboda of Lapeer, son, Todd (fiancée, Nicole) Svoboda of Grand Blanc, special friend, Darlene Svoboda of Lapeer, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry, sister, Marilyn Faye.

Memorials may be directed to the family for use at their discretion or masses at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in North Branch.

Family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at the funeral home from 5 to 9 and he will lie in state at the church on Thursday, June 27, 2002 from 10 to 11. The funeral mass will be on Thursday, June 27, 2002 with Fr. Schmidberger officiating. Burial will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in North Branch.
