Charles Lee Williams, age 83 of North Branch, died August 1, 2002 at Hill’s & Dale’s Hospital in Cass City.  He was born on October 11, 1918 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  On September 4, 1944 he married Betty Allen in North Branch; she preceded him in death on February 16, 1990.  He and Orpha (Foster) Sealey were united in marriage on October 20, 1990 in North Branch.  Charley retired from Orr Lumber Company after 44 years of service, He was a member of the North Branch Methodist Men’s Club, and a member of the church for 46 years.  Charley was proud that he was involved with the Red Cross and that he had donated over 14 gallons of blood.  He was also a Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts.

He is survived by wife, Orpha of North Branch, sons; Dale (Sandy) Williams of Grayling, James (Mary) Williams of North Branch, daughters: Terry (David) Jones of Anchorage, Alaska, Luann (David) Griffus of Grand Blanc, sons, Meredith (Susan) Sealey of New Baltimore, Kenneth Neil (Nancy) Sealey of Otter Lake and daughter, Lindy Pasternak of North Branch,  grandchildren Jeanette Thomas, Annette Metzer, Antoinette Stephan, Ronda Sanders, Dale (Butch) Williams, Jr., Scott Williams, Bradley Griffus, Heather Barkley, Greg Sealy, Paul Pasternak, Tina Santacrose, Erin Sealey, Gail Sealey, Eric Foy, and Lesley Foy and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by wife, Betty and son, Wilford.

Memorials may be made to the North Branch United Methodist Church Building Fund.

The family will be present for visitation on Saturday, August 3, 2002 from 5 to 8, Sunday, August 4, 2002 from 2 to 8 and the funeral service will be at 11:00am, Monday, August 5, 2002 at the North Branch United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Ferrigan officiating.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, North Branch
