Dear Sisters in Thread:
Another decade has begun and we are celebrating all things new and fresh but cherishing old friends and values. We at Sew Together wish you the very best in the coming year and hope that you will spend some time with us. Believe it or not, YOU are the ones that inspire us and for that we thank you!
We will begin the new year with a Winter Celebration on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 15 & 16, by demonstrating the wonderful GO! Cutter by Accuquilt, among other things. So be sure to come see how you can make cutting your next quilt even faster and accurate every time!
On Sunday, February 7 from noon to 4 pm we will be having our annual Super Bowl Sunday Sale with 25% savings on all regular priced fabric, notions, books and yarn. Make sure to mark it in your calendar!
Our wonderful clubs such as Handi Quilter, Doll Club, Knit Club, Breakfast Club and Dear Jane are joined by some new clubs you will be sure to love. Mary is starting a daytime Embroidery Club on the last Tuesday of each month from 10 am to noon for only $5 per session. You can get help on your stitching and even a discount on our Crabapple Hill patterns, too!
If you have always wanted to learn to quilt, don't forget that we offer a Beginning Quilting by Hand or Machine class that runs six weeks and teaches you how to pick fabric, cut and piece, appliqué, assemble, quilt and bind a quilt. We are just about the only shop that does this with over 25 years of experience, too! We also offer the option of bringing a young quilter between the ages of 8 and 18 with you for ½ price! This is wonderful for a mother/daughter or grandmother/granddaughter pair and you also have the option of making 1 quilt together or individual quilts. You never need to bring a machine to class either! This class is FUN! and I hope you will seriously consider it.
New classes include American Quilts with Gina each month. There will be 12 quilts in all and all classes will be FREE with the purchase of a kit. Class size is very limited, so you will have her full attention to learn!
Another new and FREE class will be the Fabulous Five Yard Quilts with Sue. With just five 1-yard pieces of fabric and one pattern you will have the option of making one of 5 different quilts in this class...your choice!
Other free classes will include a free wool appliqué class on Feb. 11 and a free X-block class on Feb. 26. Both classes require kit or book and fabric purchases.
Guest teachers are back with some wonderful offerings, too. Deanna is back with her Crazy Quilting expertise on selected Fridays. Mohair Bear expert Becky O'Mara is offering her help making these wonderful collectible bears on Saturday, Feb. 13. Judy will be teaching her Autumn Flight quilt beginning Tuesday, Jan. 26. And Rita is back with two wonderful classes. The first is called Visual Coloring on Sat. Jan. 23. We all know that color selection can be a challenge, but in this class Rita will use a new approach using a picture (a photo, magazine picture or calendar page) as inspiration. Her class on Feb. 20 is Twice Around the Square where, although the construction is simple, the fabric choices make great visual impact.
We also have a couple of special sales this newsletter. Batting and kits are buy one, get one half off (BOGO) in January. Of course, the half off applies to the item of the same or lesser price! We also have some fantastic yarns left in our ½ off inventory, but they are going fast!
